About Mini Battle Royale
Mini Battle Royale takes the survival formula that made large online shooters popular and shrinks it down to a quick, browser-friendly format. Four fighters begin in the four corners of a big map filled with randomly placed crates and walls. A cross-shaped wall at the center creates a natural fortress and a dangerous crossroads.
The layout is generated from a random seed at the start of every match, so no two games look alike. Cover appears in different places, medkits spawn at new locations, and the opening moves change every time. That variety is what keeps the mode fresh after dozens of rounds.
In a solo session the other three fighters are AI opponents. They hunt, retreat when hurt, grab medkits and run away from the toxic zone, which means you have to watch your back as well as your front. In multiplayer, a friend can join your match while the AI fills the remaining slots.
Controls & How to Play
Controls are the same as in every other mode. Because you cannot respawn, movement and awareness matter even more here than raw aim.
Keyboard and mouse
- Move: W, A, S, D or the arrow keys. Movement is smooth, so you glide into a stop instead of halting instantly.
- Aim: move the mouse. Your character always faces the crosshair.
- Shoot: hold the left mouse button or the Space bar.
- Reload: press R. The weapon also reloads on its own when the magazine is empty.
- Chat: press Enter to type a message when you are playing against another real person.
Phones and tablets
- Move: touch and drag anywhere on the left half of the screen. A virtual joystick appears under your thumb.
- Aim and fire: touch the right half of the screen. Drag to point your weapon in that direction, or simply hold a spot to aim at it. Your weapon fires automatically while your thumb is down.
- Tip: turn your phone sideways (landscape) so both thumbs have plenty of room.
Starting a match
Enter a nickname, select Mini Battle Royale and press Quick Play. If another player is online they will join you within a few seconds. Otherwise an AI opponent takes the slot so you can start immediately. To play with a friend, choose Create Private Room, share the four-digit code and wait for them to arrive.
How to Play Mini Battle Royale (Step by Step)
- Press Play Now in the game box above, or use the Open in a separate page link. Enter a nickname.
- Select the Mini Battle Royale card and press Quick Play, or create a private room to play with a friend.
- Move with W, A, S, D or the arrow keys. On a phone, drag with your left thumb.
- Aim with the mouse and shoot with the left button or Space. On a phone, drag with your right thumb and the weapon fires automatically.
- Dealing with your opponent: Avoid fights you do not have to take, stay close to cover and let your rivals damage each other before you step in.
- How to win: Be the last fighter alive. If the final survivors fall at nearly the same moment, the fighter with the most kills wins.
- To restart, press Rematch on the results screen, or press Lobby to choose another mode. See the full How to Play guide for the lobby, rooms and controls.
Game Objective
The objective of Mini Battle Royale is to be the last fighter standing. There are no respawns, so every health point matters. A toxic circle shrinks toward the center and forces the fighters together, which means you need to survive both your rivals and the map itself.
Gameplay Mechanics
- Four fighters: each match has four fighters who start in the four corners. Any slot that is not filled by a real person is controlled by the computer.
- No respawns: when your health reaches zero you are out. You can keep watching through a spectator camera that follows a fighter who is still alive.
- Toxic zone: the whole map is safe for the first eight seconds. Then the circle shrinks steadily for roughly a hundred seconds until only a small area near the center remains.
- Zone damage: standing outside the circle costs 8 health per second, so a fighter with full health survives only about twelve seconds outside it.
- Weapon: everyone has the assault rifle: 30 rounds per magazine, 8 damage per hit and a 1.5-second reload.
- Medkits: up to four medkits can be on the map at once. Each one heals 45 health and is only collected when you are hurt.
- Random layout: crates and walls are placed from a new random seed every match, and a cross-shaped wall sits in the center of the map.
Rules & Game Mechanics
- Goal: be the last fighter alive. If the final survivors fall at nearly the same moment, the fighter with the most kills takes the match.
- No respawns: once your health reaches zero you are eliminated. You can keep watching the match from the spectator view.
- Toxic zone: for the first eight seconds the whole map is safe. After that, a circle begins to shrink toward the center, closing gradually over roughly a hundred seconds until it reaches a small final radius.
- Zone damage: standing outside the circle drains 8 health per second. A warning appears on screen whenever you are in the toxic area.
- Weapon: everyone uses the assault rifle with 30 rounds per magazine, 8 damage per hit and a 1.5-second reload.
- Medkits: up to four medkits can be on the map at the same time. Each one heals 45 health, which makes them worth a short detour.
Pro Tips & High-Score Strategies
- Do not rush to the center in the first few seconds. Let the other fighters collide while you pick up a medkit and find solid cover.
- Start moving toward the circle early. Running through open ground at the last second is how most players lose their health.
- Use the crates between you and a fight. A third party who hears the shooting will often finish the winner of a duel.
- Save your ammunition. With a 1.5-second reload, an empty magazine at the wrong moment is fatal, so reload whenever you are hidden.
- In the final circle, circle around obstacles instead of crossing open space, and keep a wall between you and at least one enemy.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How many players are in a Mini Battle Royale match?
Every match has four fighters. Any slot that is not filled by a real person is controlled by the computer.
How fast does the toxic zone shrink?
It waits for eight seconds, then closes steadily over about a hundred seconds until it reaches a small circle near the center of the map.
What happens if I am eliminated?
You switch to a spectator view that follows a fighter who is still alive. When the match ends, the results screen offers a rematch.
Is the map the same every time?
No. The obstacle layout is built from a new random seed for each match, so cover and medkit locations change from game to game.
Beginner Tips for Mini Battle Royale
- Do not sprint to the center on the first second. Let the other fighters meet first while you find cover.
- Use the opening eight seconds to pick up a medkit if one is close and to learn where the nearest crates are.
- Start moving toward the circle's center before the edge reaches you. Crossing open ground at the last moment is dangerous.
- Keep a crate or wall between you and at least one rival whenever possible.
- When you hear shooting nearby, wait. Two fighters trading damage are easy targets for a third.
- Reload whenever you are hidden and nobody is in sight. An empty magazine in the final circle is deadly.
- Only take a medkit when the path to it is safe. Dying for a kit is a bad trade.
- If you are eliminated, keep watching. Seeing how the last fighters move is great practice.
Advanced Strategy
Plan your route to the center. The cross-shaped wall in the middle is both a fortress and a crossroads. Know which side of it you want to hold before the circle gets small.
Think in thirds. With four fighters, any fight between two of them usually attracts a third. Position yourself so that you can attack the weaker winner instead of fighting at full strength.
Use the circle as a weapon. Rivals who are forced to run through the open to stay inside it are exposed. Hold a spot with cover next to the edge and punish them.
Save health for the end. Do not use every medkit early. A medkit in the late game decides the final duel, so remember where you saw them.
Common Mistakes
These are the habits that cost players the most matches. Fix them and your results improve quickly.
- Rushing the center immediately and meeting every rival at once.
- Fighting in the open when a crate was one step away.
- Leaving the safe area too late and taking zone damage while being shot at.
- Spending the whole magazine on a fight you did not need to take.
- Chasing a kill into the toxic zone.
Tips for Better Performance
- Close extra tabs and heavy apps before you start. The game redraws the whole arena about 60 times per second, and free memory helps it stay smooth.
- Use an up-to-date browser and keep hardware acceleration switched on in the browser settings so the canvas can use your graphics chip.
- On a laptop, plug in the charger and turn off battery-saver mode. Power saving can lower the frame rate.
- For multiplayer, a stable connection matters more than raw speed. Use a wired connection or a strong Wi-Fi signal and pause downloads or streaming on the same network.
- If the game feels cramped or choppy inside a page, press the Full screen button or use the Open in a separate page link so the game gets the whole window.
- Turn off a VPN while you play multiplayer if you notice delay, because it adds extra distance to the connection.
- Keep your browser zoom at 100 percent. Very high zoom levels make the game window smaller and harder to read.
Mobile Gaming Guide
The map is large, so landscape mode is especially helpful. Use the left joystick gently to avoid running out of cover by accident.
- Rotate your phone to landscape. Both thumbs get more room and you see more of the arena.
- Left thumb moves, right thumb aims and fires. Your weapon shoots automatically while the right thumb is down, so lift it when you want to stop firing or reload.
- For precise aiming, make small drags near the middle of the right half of the screen. Big swings make you overshoot the target.
- Clear the screen of notifications before a match. Turning on Do Not Disturb stops a call banner from interrupting a fight.
- Close other apps and keep brightness reasonable. A hot phone slows itself down, which lowers the frame rate.
- Use an up-to-date mobile browser. Opening the page inside another app's built-in browser may limit full screen or microphone access, so a normal browser is the safer choice.
- Not every phone browser supports full screen for embedded content. If the button does nothing, use the Open in a separate page link.
Desktop Gaming Guide
Keep an eye on the circle edge as well as your opponents. The warning text tells you when you are outside the safe area.
- Rest your left hand on W, A, S, D (or use the arrow keys) and keep your right hand on the mouse. Space also fires, which is handy if you use a trackpad.
- The game follows your mouse pointer, so your operating system's pointer speed sets your aiming speed. Pick a speed that lets you turn around quickly without overshooting, then stay with it.
- Use a real mouse if you can. Aiming with a laptop trackpad is possible but slower and less precise.
- Press R to reload as soon as you are behind cover. You do not need to wait for the magazine to run dry.
- Click inside the game once after it loads so the keyboard goes to the game. Press Enter to chat with a human opponent and Esc to close the chat box.
- Use the Full screen button for a bigger picture, and press Esc to leave full screen.
Troubleshooting
The game does not load or Play Now does nothing
Make sure JavaScript is enabled and refresh the page. Then try the Open in a separate page link. If a browser extension, school network or work network blocks the multiplayer library, Quick Play can still start a match against the computer opponent, but private rooms will not work until the library can load.
The controls do not respond
Click inside the game area once so it receives your keys. If you have just used the chat box or the nickname field, click the game again. On a phone, touch the left half to move and the right half to aim, and make sure no other app or notification is covering the screen.
The game lags or stutters
Close other tabs and apps, plug in a laptop and turn off battery saver. If the game is smooth against the computer opponent but laggy online, the problem is the network, so move closer to your router or use a cable. Our guide on reducing lag and understanding ping goes into more detail.
There is no sound or music
Browsers only start audio after you click or tap, so press a key or click in the game once. Check that the Music button in the top-left corner does not say Off, that your device is not on silent and that the tab is not muted. For a friend's voice, check the speaker button as well.
Problems on a phone or tablet
Use landscape mode, close background apps and update your browser. If the page scrolls instead of reacting to your thumbs, open the game with the Open in a separate page link. If the phone gets hot, lower the brightness and take a short break.
A private room code does not work
Check that all four digits are correct, that the host is still on the waiting screen and that nobody else has joined, because the room locks to the first player who enters. Ask the host to create a fresh room and send a new code or link.
The microphone does not work
Voice chat only appears when a real opponent is connected. Press the microphone button and allow microphone access when your browser asks. If you refused earlier, change the permission in the browser's site settings and try again.
More Questions About Mini Battle Royale
How many fighters are in a match?
Four. With a friend, one more slot is a real player and the others are computer fighters. Every empty slot is taken by the computer.
Can I play Battle Royale in a private room?
Yes. In a private room your friend joins your match and the remaining slots are filled by computer fighters once the match starts.
How long does a match last?
The circle shrinks for around a hundred seconds after the eight-second delay, so most matches finish within a few minutes.
Do I lose if I am in the toxic zone?
Not instantly. The zone drains 8 health per second, so you can still fight inside it for a short time, but it is rarely worth the risk.
Does the map change every match?
Yes. The crates and walls are generated from a new random seed, so you cannot memorize one layout.
What does the spectator view show?
After you are eliminated, the camera follows a fighter who is still alive until the match ends.
