Sniper Outpost Guide

Sniper Outpost is a game of patience. The map is huge, the rifle is powerful and every shot gives away your position. Here is how to play it well in Sniper Outpost.

The numbers

Each bullet deals 75 damage, so two hits defeat a fighter with 100 health. You can fire about once every 0.85 seconds, the magazine holds five rounds and a reload takes 2.8 seconds. The bullets fly in a perfectly straight line with no spread at all. A medkit adds 45 health, which means a fighter who has taken one hit and heals to 70 still dies to the next hit.

Use the laser guide

A thin red line shows exactly where your next bullet will go. Use it to check an angle before you commit, to confirm that a crate is not in the way and to adjust your aim. Remember that the line shows direction, not where a moving opponent will be, so you still have to lead.

Moving from cover to cover

The map is big, with long open lanes. Move from block to block and look before you step out. After you shoot, move to a new position, because your opponent now knows your general location. Avoid crossing the center of the map in a straight line.

Leading and timing

Bullets are very fast, but a sideways-moving target still needs a small lead. Fire when your opponent changes direction, stops to reload or comes out from behind cover. Do not fire at every glimpse. Five rounds are not many, and a miss followed by a 2.8-second reload in the open is how many fights are lost.

Reloading and healing

Always reload behind a wall or crate. If you have landed one hit, press the advantage and finish the fight before your opponent reaches a medkit. When you are the wounded one, break the line of sight first and heal second. For more general advice, see the mode strategy guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is the computer opponent a good shot? It has a slower reaction and very tight aim, so do not stay in its line of sight.

Is a phone playable? Yes, in landscape mode, though details are small.

How many kills do I need? Five.
