Battle Royale Beginner Guide
Mini Battle Royale packs a survival match into a few minutes. Four fighters, no respawns and a circle that keeps shrinking. This guide explains the timeline and shows how to survive to the end in Mini Battle Royale.
Understand the clock
For the first eight seconds the entire map is safe. After that, the circle shrinks for about a hundred seconds until it reaches a small area near the center. Standing outside it costs 8 health per second, so a fighter with full health lasts only about twelve seconds. The on-screen text tells you when the circle is shrinking and warns you when you are inside the toxic zone.
A safe opening
You start in one of the four corners. Do not rush to the center. Look for the nearest crate, grab a medkit if one is close and let the others begin to fight. Cover matters more than speed, because the assault rifle deals 8 damage per hit and fights last a while. The map layout changes every match, so look at the crates around you before you move.
Third parties and positioning
With four fighters, any fight between two of them is an invitation for a third. Instead of joining a duel at full strength, wait until one fighter is weak and then finish them. Use the cross-shaped wall in the center as cover, and keep a crate between you and at least one rival at all times.
Medkits and ammo
Up to four medkits can be on the map, each healing 45 health when you are hurt. Do not spend them early if you are nearly full health, and do not run into the open for one. Reload whenever you are hidden, because an empty magazine in the final circle is fatal.
The final circle
When the circle is small, the fight becomes tight. Circle around obstacles, keep walls between you and the others and avoid open lanes. If you are eliminated, you can keep watching, which is useful practice. See the beginner's guide to top-down shooters for general habits.
Frequently asked questions
Do the computer fighters use the zone? They try to avoid it and move toward the center when it shrinks.
Can I win by hiding? Not for long. The circle forces everyone together.
What if two fighters die at the same moment? The fighter with the most kills wins.
