A Beginner's Guide to Browser Gaming
Browser gaming means playing a game directly inside a web page. There is no installer, no launcher and usually no account. If you have never tried it, this guide explains what you need, how to pick a good first game and how to get comfortable quickly.
What you actually need
You need a recent browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, a working internet connection and either a keyboard and mouse or a touch screen. The games on this site use standard web technology: an HTML5 canvas for the graphics and built-in browser audio for sound. There is nothing to install, and the game is ready after a few seconds of loading.
Before you start, close a few of the tabs you are not using. Browsers share memory between tabs, and a game runs more smoothly when it is not competing with a dozen other pages.
Choosing your first game
Start with a mode that teaches the basics. On this site, the Classic 1v1 Duel is the best starting point. The map is small and mirrored, both fighters carry the same assault rifle and the goal is easy to understand: reach five kills first. Once you feel comfortable, try the Mini Battle Royale for survival tactics, the Sniper Outpost for patient long-range play or the Shotgun Corridor for close-quarters action.
Your first five minutes
Open a game page, press Play Now, type a nickname and press Quick Play. If no other player is online, a computer opponent joins you, so you can start immediately. Spend the first match simply moving and shooting. Learn which keys move you, how the mouse aims and how long a reload takes. If you need a refresher, the How to Play guide explains the lobby, the screen and every control.
In your second and third match, practice three habits: move sideways while you shoot, fire in short bursts and reload behind cover. These three habits make a bigger difference than any advanced trick.
Staying comfortable and safe
Take short breaks, keep the volume at a comfortable level and sit with good posture. Use a nickname that does not include your real name or other personal details. The game does not require an account, and the details of what is stored on your device are explained in our Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
